Free parking after 3pm approved for festive season

FREE parking after 3pm for the festive season has been approved.

It will apply to users of the St Giles multi-storey car park in Elgin, from Saturday 23 November 2019 – to coincide with Elgin’s Christmas lights switch-on – until Saturday 4 January 2020, saving motorists up to £2.50 per visit.

Moray Council’s Transportation Manager, Nicola Moss, said: “Free parking after 3pm will allow residents and visitors to make the most of Elgin’s wide range of shops, from independent boutiques to nationally-recognised stores.

“Whether they’re popping in for a couple of things, or blitzing the Christmas shopping, they can benefit from free parking in St Giles, which can accommodate up to 270 vehicles.”
