Nominations sought for Moray young citizen awards

Nominations are being invited for the latest Moray Young Citizen awards.

The annual awards scheme, which is run jointly by Moray Council, Police Scotland, Elgin Rotary Club and Diageo, recognises the outstanding contributions made by the area’s young people.

It is open to primary and secondary school groups, community groups and individuals and as well as recognising good community work it helps young people build self-esteem and develop an understanding of what citizenship means.

Details of the various award categories, along with nomination forms, are available at http://www.moray.gov.uk/moray_standard/page_61110.html

Nominations close on Tuesday, January 31 with the awards ceremony taking place in late March.
