New photo murals from the award-winning Scandinavian Surface

This spring a new collection from the award-winning design group Scandinavian Surface will be available exclusively from Swedish Photowall. The collection being presented is Norwegian Wood – a range of landscapes inspired by Scandinavian nature with silhouettes of trees and amazing creatures.

Scandinavian Surface has been recognised for its design with awards from Norwegian magazine ELLE for Best Wallpaper of the Year and the British 100% Design award for Best International Newcomer in 2004.

The Bergen-based design quartet behind Scandinavian Surface has taken inspiration for its Norwegian Wood collection in the wild Norwegian environment. The landscape contrasts between surrealism and down-to-earth Nordic nature. The environments are conveyed in a modern style where a frozen wilderness has been fragmented into patterns inspired by mosaics and weaving. The atmosphere in the design ranges from light, cool elegance to dark, leafy mysteriousness in a colour palette comprising the forest’s nuances seen in trees, bark, minerals and lichen.

Scandinavian Surface’s Norwegian Wood collection is available to order as a made-to-measure wall mural from Photowall. The collection comprises 24 motifs and costs from £37 per square metre.
