TV presenter and author Simon Reeve to present Practical Action Appeal

Adventurer, TV Presenter and author Simon Reeve is set to present Practical Action’s latest charity appeal on Radio 4.

The appeal will focus on a sustainable energy project in Southern Africa which through the use of solar mini-grids and water pumps is providing fresh, clean water to over 20,000 people living in remote farming communities.

The project enables communities to irrigate their land and grow enough food to eat and sell on at market to earn a living as well as providing electricity to power schools and medical centres.

Simon said: “I was honoured to be asked to present the Radio 4 appeal for Practical Action, they do wonderful work in some of the poorest places in the world. I hope it raises lots of valuable funds for their projects.”
