Live Innovations Reacts to the news that 80 more Poundworld Stores are set to Close

As news broke that Poundworld was planning the closure of a further 80 stores, London-based event-marketing specialists, Live Innovations has reacted and revealed how they look to attract retail workers affected by the closures.

Live Innovations: About the firm

Initially, reports suggested that 25 Poundworld stores were facing closure as administrators attempt to save the flailing company; however another announcement last week revealed that 80 more stores were set to close, resulting in 1024 job losses UK-wide. The latest announcement means that almost a third of the company’s 335 stores are now earmarked for closure.

Poundworld's demise began as a result of reported losses of £17.1million in 2016-2017.The firm imports much of its stock from the Far East, so it has been impacted by the sharp fall in the value of the pound after the 2016 Brexit referendum. Poundworld is the latest in a long line of retailers that are struggling to adjust to an ever-changing way that consumers shop. Electronics chain Maplin and toy chain Toys 'R' Us both collapsed into administration earlier this year. Other High Street retailers; Mothercare and Carpetright have been forced to close stores as they struggle to survive.

Through effective face-to-face sales and marketing strategies, high-level expertise and service delivery, Live Innovations has developed a strong reputation for direct sales and customer acquisition. In a highly competitive industry, operating in the UK’s capital city, Live Innovation's unique selling point is human interactions.
