Swedish ski resorts present news for the season: Focus on families and the skiing experience

Improved skiing experience’s is the focus area. Sälen is expanding its children’s area considerably, Vemdalen is installing a new Express 6-seat chairlift, a brand-new apartment hotel is opening in Trysil called Park Inn Trysil Mountain Resort, and Hemsedal has more activities for children and young people to offer. SkiPass holders will have access to a brand new ski community, MySkiStar.

This year's winter season, SkiStar's ski destinations in Sweden and Norway have made extensive investments in new exciting ski areas, improved snow production and new lifts. In addition, SkiStar is offering free skiing for children during Christmas and in January and for the first time is offering a seasonal SkiPass which is valid for all destinations in Åre, Sälen, Vemdalen, Trysil and Hemsedal.
After the completion of the Olympic Winter Games and the scheduled races in Japan, the world’s leading moguls skiers are on their way to Åre - for the third consecutive year the venue of Freestyle FIS World Cup competitions. Jesper Björnlund, the most successful Swedish racer is currently in second place in the overall standings before the interesting events this coming weekend.
