Liverpool daredevils sought for sky high Stroke Association abseil

The Stroke Association is calling on fun-seeking fundraisers to take part in an unforgettable abseil at the iconic Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on Saturday 08 August 2015.

Adrenaline junkies will have the opportunity to descend a 150ft freefall drop over the main entrance of the cathedral, all while taking in stunning views of Liverpool.

Siân Thomas, Regional Fundraiser at the Stroke Association, said: “This is the fourth year we’ve been involved with this event and it’s set to be our biggest team yet. The abseil is one of our most daring and exciting opportunities and promises to be an experience you won’t forget!

“We’re calling for adrenaline junkies across Liverpool to take part in the abseil, all while raising funds to support those affected by stroke. No experience is necessary, and everyone taking part will receive abseil training before enjoying a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Over 14,600 people have a stroke in the North West each year and more than 157,370 people in the area are living with the impact of stroke. Funds raised through the abseil will help the Stroke Association continue to offer vital services to stroke survivors and their families.

The entry fee for the Stroke AssociationLiverpool Cathedral Abseil is £25, with a minimum sponsorship target of £125.
