Make your weekend an experience you’ll never forget
The Stroke Association is calling on fun-seeking fundraisers to take part in an unforgettable abseil down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on Saturday 27 September 2014 and Sunday 28 September 2014.
Adrenaline junkies can sign up for a slot to descend the 350ft drop between 8:30am to 4:00pm.
Nic Clarke, fundraiser at Stroke Association, said: “The Stroke Association’s Spinnaker abseil is one of our most popular fundraising events and we’ve sold half our spaces already so sign up soon to avoid disappointment. It’s an experience you’ll never forget.
“No experience is necessary, and everyone taking part will receive abseil training before enjoying an incredible view of the coast.”
The charity the Stroke Association estimates that there are over 4,000 people in Hampshire have a stroke each year and around 36,000 people living with the effects of stroke. Funds raised through the charity abseil will help the Stroke Association continue to offer vital services to stroke survivors and their families.
The entry fee for the Stroke Association Tri Spinnaker Shocks 350ft Abseil is £25, with a minimum sponsorship target of £300. To register to take part call 0160 4687 768 or email spinnakershocks@stroke.org.uk
