Press release -
Stroke prevention awareness event in Hull
The Stroke Association is inviting people in Hull to join them to find out more about stroke.
Local residents can visit the Stroke Association from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at Centre 88, Saner Street, HU3 2TR on Tuesday 19 February, to find out more information about stroke and how to prevent a stroke.
Sally Welch, Stroke Association Support Coordinator said “A stroke can happen to anyone at any time, and it turns lives upside down in an instant. Every five minutes in the UK, someone’s life is affected by stroke. We would love to see as many people from Hull popping along to find out more about stroke prevention and have a free blood pressure check.
“High blood pressure normally doesn’t have any symptoms and it’s much more common than people think. A blood pressure test is quick and easy and it could save your life. With events like these, we can give people who are most at risk of stroke the early warning they need to take preventative action.”
