Take part in thrilling car race in aid of Stroke Association

After 20 years of success, the Stroke Association Supercar Saturday will return to Wiltshire’s famous Castle Combe circuit on Saturday 25 October 2014. This charity event offers the chance for racing fans to live their dream of driving round the main race track in a top car with a professional driver.

Past events have seen cars including a 964 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, Lamborghini Gaillardo, Porsche 997 Turbo and Lotus Exige. They have also been attended by top drivers from the world of motorsport including Anthony Reid, Simon Tilling and James Weaver. This year’s drivers and cars and drivers are yet to be confirmed.

Visitors will be able to meet the drivers, get up close to the cars and watch all the action. The drivers have offered their time and cars to help raise funds to support thousands of people whose lives have been turned upside down by stroke. A stroke is a brain attack which happens when the blood supply to the brain is cut off, caused by a clot or bleeding in the brain.

This year marks the 20th anniversary for Castle Combe circuit. Amy Binley, Community and Events Fundraising Manager for the Stroke Association in the South West said: “Supercar Saturday is not only an important way to raise vital funds and help conquer stroke, but it also gives car enthusiasts the chance to drive full throttle in amazing cars at affordable prices.”

Supercar Saturday kicks off at 10am and will finish around 5pm.

Admission: entry is £5 for adults,£2.50 for OAPs and children under 16 are admitted free. Hot rides go from £25 upwards and entry to the Autosolo competition costs £20.
