Press release -

Drop-in sessions for 'green and friendly advice'

Recycling, dog fouling and littering will top the agenda at the final special drop-in session in Littleborough next week.

From 10am till 11am on Monday 9 December 2013, Rochdale Borough Council will be running an environmental surgery at Littleborough Library.

Councillor Jacqui Beswick, Rochdale Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Place and Regulations said: “Whether residents want to get recycling tips, report incidents of fly tipping or just find out more about environmental services in the borough, our staff will be there to help.”

Previous sessions have already proved popular with residents for giving them the chance to let council officers know about any environmental issues however big or small.

The surgery will also give residents the opportunity to pick up leaflets about a wide variety of environment issues in their neighbourhoods such as:

  • waste collections and recycling
  • grass cutting
  • dog fouling
  • fly tipping
  • tree management
  • littering
  • public rights of way
  • untidy gardens/land, pathway obstructions

There are already plans in the pipeline for more sessions in the new year as they have been so well received.
