Ramble through the countryside this autumn

Rochdale Borough Council’s Ranger Service has organised two countryside walks for residents who are interested in history and nature.

On Saturday 13 September join Rae Street, as she leads a 'History around Hollingworth Lake' walk, starting from the Cenotaph Gardens, Littleborough at 1pm. The difficulty of this walk has been graded as medium and no dogs are allowed.

The following weekend on Sunday 21 September, an autumn woodland walk will take place. Meet at Hollingworth Lake Activity Centre at 10.30am for a circular walk over the moors to Piethorne reservoirs. Make sure to bring along a picnic and wear suitable clothing for the weather and rough terrain. This walk is of a medium/hard difficulty and dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead.

For further details about both of these events contact the Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre on 01706 373421
