Safe4Summer launches in sun-soaked Littleborough

Rochdale Borough Council has officially launched its Safe4Summer campaign with an event at The Youth Service’s Tour de Pennines bike race in Littleborough,

Safe4Summer is a Greater Manchester-wide campaign which aims to keep young people safe and keep anti-social behaviour down during the summer months.

It offers young people the opportunity to experience and participate in exciting activities in their area. It also offers them advice about how to stay safe and out of trouble during the summer months.

Councillor Daalat Ali, Cabinet Member for Community, said: “The Tour de Pennines bike race on a beautiful day in Littleborough provided a perfect opportunity to launch our Safe4Summer campaign. And it was a perfect pre-cursor to the upcoming Tour de France, which will run past Blackstone Edge Reservoir on Sunday 6 July.”
