Press release -

You don’t have to come out to come in!

The Lesbian and Gay Foundation will be holding its fifth annual event in Rochdale borough to mark National Coming Out Day on Saturday 11 October.

The event, which will run between Midday and 4.30pm, takes place at Number One Riverside in Rochdale.

National Coming Out Day (NCOD) is an internationally observed civil awareness day which celebrates individuals who publicly identify as a sexual or gender minority. NCOD was established in 1988 by Robert Eichberg.

The event at Number One Riverside will provide an opportunity for learning, sharing and celebrating our diverse communities and life experiences.

A variety of agencies will be present to offer help, support and advice, while guest speakers will share their own experiences and life journeys.

The day also includes music and activities and is free for everybody to attend.
