Press release -

Rosehill Lodges Presents ‘Afternoon Treaties’

Rosehill Lodges http://www.rosehilllodges.com are pleased to be supporting Macmillan’s Cancer Support http://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/Home.aspx    as part of ‘Macmillan Biggest Coffee Morning‘ event. Once again Kirsty Walters has organised the team and local volunteers to help raise funds for those fighting the good fight against cancer. After the last very successful fund-raising event (Race for Life 2012) for which 'Rosehill Ladies' managed to raise a phenomenal amount in excess of £400, Kirsty decided to engage the team in the Macmillan Biggest Coffee morning event.

Kirsty has been whipping up a storm of enthusiasm amongst locals and Cornish companies, persuading many to donate prizes for the luxury raffle draw – prizes for which include,

  • a Homemade Luxury Hamper
  • A Family Ticket to the Maritime Museum in Falmouth
  • A Spa Day for Two at the Penventon Hotel, Redruth
  • Lunch for Two at the St Agnes Hotel
  • Champagne
  • A Veg Box from Trevaskis Farm
  • Aromatherapy Massage at the LMC(Little Massage Clinic)
  • A Gift Voucher from Split-Enz, St Agnes
  • A Ticket to Flambards, Helston
  • Karate Lessons

amongst many more fabulous items. Definitely worth buying some raffle tickets for!

In addition, Pauline Barrow will be opening the doors of ‘Gorgeous Things Sweetie’, http://www.rosehilllodges.com/about-us/the-little-shop   (Rosehill Lodges' Boutique Gift Shop), to the public for this one occasion. As well as the raffle and fabulous home-made local food on sale, there are planned to be lots of stalls, activities, games and competitions to entertain participants of all ages. 10% of all proceeds from the shop and stalls will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

It is hoped the weather will be kind and offer up some sunshine and that there will be a sizeable turn out – big and small, young and old, for what promises to be one of the highlights for Porthtowan this year. Once again, a big ‘Thank You’ goes to Kirsty Walters - whose compassion, drive and organisational capabilities are loved by all, as well as to all those volunteering their skills, time and wares to make it all possible.
