Press release -

New Year´s pledges: What about a new look?

More sports, healthy food, less stress - there are a lot of New Year´s pledges we make. At first, at least only a few think of their own home. There are a variety of little things at Rosenthal, to beautify the living room, dining area or kitchen in a jiffy!

Vase Ode/Design: Sebastian Herkner

With clear and straight geometric lines but also some subtle details, the Ode vase series from star designer Sebastian Herkner draws the full attention of the beholder to the delicate nature of the porcelain. The textured surface of the semi-gloss vase body is broken by a lustrous ring of porcelain, decorated with golden ornamental elements that hint at a hand-drawn style yet are elegant at the same time. At first glance, the design appears to have a classical style reminiscent of the columns so prevalent in the architecture of the ancient world, but look more closely and its precise workmanship reveals a thoroughly modern new piece of interior design. The vases are available in four different sizes.

Table lamp Nightingale/Design: Dante - Goods and Bads

The Nightingale table lamp, designed by Dante – Goods and Bads in collaboration with Rosenthal, quite literally turns the structure and design of a lamp completely on its head: The otherwise normal lampshade of the design piece is rotated 90 degrees, thereby completely redefining the interaction between the light fitting and reflector. The delicate porcelain body is initially reminiscent of an antique lantern, but its thoroughly modern aesthetics shine through thanks to the clear-cut design and soft beam of LED light. A leather band, available in Bordeaux, dark brown or natural, serves as a handle that can be used to change the position of the light and elegantly conceals the wires. Nightingale is available to order in two different heights, 27 and 42 centimetres. Now also available in rosé with Bordeaux leather.

Tea pot and wooden tray Junto/Design: TonettiDesign and Mario Padiglione

Eating together, having a good time and celebrating life – the new Rosenthal Junto design innovatively and playfully brings together people and their love of good food from all over the world. A subtle fusion of fine porcelain, sumptuous ceramics and warm wood enables all manner of combinations for any cuisine. Our passion for minute details and a natural, handcrafted look is unmistakable, with muted colours and organic shapes.

To provide an appropriate contrast to the fine porcelain, the collection also offers the major pieces as vibrant, earthy stoneware with a special reactive glaze. Numerous small bowls fit the trend for showcasing a wide range of dishes and sharing them with people that we like. Three accessories made from American white oak bring height and variety to the table and help to set the scene perfectly for the many small bowls and plates.
