FLIR (Nor-Shipping - 2 of 3 releases): FLIR Presents M400 Multi-Sensor Thermal Camera System for the First Time at Nor-Shipping

Nor-Shipping, Oslo, May 30th to June 2nd, Stand B01-37

Versatile, gyro-stabilised M400 and M400XR models provide industry-leading capability to see clearly during day and night

World leader in thermal imaging FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) presents the high-performance M400 and M400XR multi-sensor thermal camera systems for the first time at Nor-Shipping.

Developed using FLIR’s superior industry-leading technology, the gyro-stabilised M400 gives mariners professional multi-sensor marine thermal vision for industry-leading capability to see other vessels, people in the water and navigational hazards.

The versatile camera enhances awareness and safety on the water for maritime security personnel, first responders, coast guard vessels, police boats, cruise ships and ferries, providing best-in-class performance for them to see clearly in total darkness and bad weather to avoid collisions and stay safe on the water.

For exceptional short and long-range detection, the pan/tilt FLIR M400 features a high resolution 640x480 thermal imager paired with a unique 3× continuous optical zoom lens and a high definition colour camera with 30x optical zoom that allows operators to see other vessels and targets at longer ranges, for added safety. It also has an integrated, high-intensity LED spotlight for positive identification of nearby targets.

With active gyro-stabilisation for a steady image in rough seas, the M400 includes an intuitive joystick controller and improved user interface. Radar tracking keeps potentially dangerous targets in view at all times.

The M400XR model adds integrated video tracking which enables users to lock on and automatically follow objects as long as they are in view of the camera. It also has a firefighting mode, providing enhanced awareness with a target temperature meter and isotherm displays.

FLIR’s M400 cameras are available through FLIR Maritime Dealers.

For more information and to view the FLIR M100 and M200 series, the M400 gyro-stablised multi-sensor thermal camera system, the new M-Series Next Generation cameras and the Raymarine AXIOM multifunction display, please visit FLIR Stand B01-37 at Nor-Shipping or visit www.flir.com/marine.
