Raymarine: Teamwork rewarded with 2018 Round the Island Race Young Sailor Trophy

Proudly sponsored by Raymarine, a division of FLIR Systems, the 2018 Young Sailor Trophy at Round the Island Race in association with Cloudy Bay was presented to the fastest team of young sailors at this year’s race. The recipients, the pupils of Hampshire Collegiate School, IRC Division 3C, completed the course around the Isle of Wight with a finishing time of 10:42:05.

“We are pleased to be able to congratulate this dedicated team of young sailors of Hampshire Collegiate School who demonstrated their strong ability to work together and alongside their skipper, Jonathan Churchill. Awards such as this are a valuable reminder of why we are proud to be part of this iconic race. The Round the Island Race attracts thousands of sailors each year and it’s fantastic to be able to recognise the younger sailors in the fleet,” commented Harry Heasman Raymarine UK Sales & Marketing Manager.”
