Sika UK: Sika’s Marine Team Takes to the Road
Sika UK, a world leader in bonding, sealing, waterproofing, and insulation products, has teamed up with its UK marine distributor Marine & Industrial LLP to run its first ever trade road show.
The Sika Marine Roadshow will take place in the South of England from 28th – 30th September and will offer a series of training sessions and practical demonstrations about Sika’s products to key boat yards and contractors in the area. It is hoped that subsequent events will take place throughout the East and South West of England later in the year. The talks will cover all aspects of bonding and caulking, from product selection to application techniques as well as discussing suitable primers, cleaners, protection and maintenance.
Of particular focus during the road show will be Sika’s new professional deck caulk, Sikaflex® 290 DC PRO. Sika is the world’s most trusted brand for deck caulking and the roadshow team will demonstrate the effectiveness of Sikaflex® 290 DC PRO, highlighting its many benefits. Developed for caulking watertight joints in traditional timber on yachts, Sikaflex® 290 DC PRO is extremely robust, weather and UV resistant and offers even faster curing times in low humidity and better results after sanding.
Other products being demonstrated will include Sika’s new Teak Deck Maintenance System, Sika® MultiPrimer Marine; Sikaflex® 295UV; Sikaflex® 296 direct glazing; Sikaflex® 291i; Sikafast® 5211NT and SikaBond® Protect, a new product to temporarily protect surfaces whilst working nearby.
