This year, Norwegian, Danish, and Finnish brands and consumers were included for the second time - reaching a total of 24,000 consumers and over 600 brands.

This year's winners can pride themselves on being perceived as most sustainable in their respective countries, as well as on having reached deep and wide with their message which has been judged as positive by the consumers.

The Winners

  • Sweden: Lantmännen
  • Norway: Stormberg
  • Denmark: SuperBrugsen
  • Finland: Valio

Sustainable Brand Index™ is based on the consumer perspective and measures what consumers can be expected to have an opinion about at the time of the survey. The basis of Sustainable Brand Index™ is the United Nations Global Compact and its ten principles on human rights, labor conditions, environment and anti-corruption.

The survey was conducted in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The survey was conducted during December 2013 and January 2014. Data were compiled and analyzed during February and March 2014.
