Closer to the scandinavien skiresorts Vemdalen and Åre from London in the winter

Ski enthusiasts can this winter travel direct to the ski resorts of Åre and Vemdalen from the UK capital, London. The UK's largest airline, easyJet, starts its direct service every Sunday from 11 December to Åre/Östersund airport from London Gatwick. Affordable, convenient shuttle service to Vemdalen direct from the airport is now available, which has previously only been possible to Åre. Travel time is therefore considerably shorter for Londoners who want to spend their winterholiday in the Swedish mountains.

Direct transfer from Åre/Östersund airport to Vemdalen can be easily booked at flygtaxi.se and costs 360 SEK per adult and 180 SEK per child (age 11) one way. The timetable is adapted to easyJet's arrivals and departures on Sundays and the journey takes about 1.5-2 hours (130 km). The service is run in partnership between Taxi Östersund, Flygtaxi, Swedavia, Destination Vemdalen and SkiStar. Between mid-December and 1 May, direct transfers between Åre Östersund Airport and Åre are available for 295 SEK per person, one way, for each flight.
