Zhong Xu, Co-founder & CEO of Deliverect joins Exp101

Welcome Zhong Xu!

Food delivery is transforming the hospitality industry and delivery channel management is becoming a big part of the transformation process. When it comes to deciding which delivery platforms to work with, it’s really a case of the more, the better. Being on multiple platforms covers you across different markets, lets you reach more customers and different niches, and helps you compare and evaluate.

Deliverect was established in September 2018 and provides a tool that helps businesses manage all of their food delivery channels from one place. Deliverect integratres third party online ordering platforms, by connecting online food ordering players such as Ubereats, Foodora, Takeaway.com and Deliveroo with your restaurant POS. Leaving you to spend more time on your business and less time typing orders

From the age of 17, Zhong Xu started his first company building websites for restaurants. This experience made his passion for mobile, SAAS and cloud technologies grow even more. In 2009, Zhong graduated with an MSc in software engineering and immediately after started working for the start-up Siruna. He then went on to work as a senior engineer for EVS Broadcast, where he created mobile and cloud solutions for customers such as London Olympics, UEFA and the BBC. After gaining experience working for a variety of organisations, Zhong established his first business in 2012 with his co founder Jan Hollez.

The SaaS company, formerly called POSIOS, was acquired by Lightspeed in 2014. Zhong became the Global director of hospitality at Lightspeed, a company that provide their solutions in more than 100 countries.

“Our vision is always about connecting the restaurant and their customers, we are here to help restaurants achieve this vision. Our products make your life easy so that you can spend less on systems and do what you love. That philosophy runs through everything that we do.”

Delivery has had a huge impact on the hospitality industry both positive and negative...huge gains in turnover vs the challenge of holding margin.  Delivery share in turnover grows by the week and most operators are now either selling online or innovating to join the wave of platforms.

With this comes some very complex operational issues, Zhong Xu has built a platform to address these issues and if delivery is even a tiny % of your business you need to come along to Exp101 at Tanners Yard, London on the 15th October to find out more.
