During the first three quarters of 2011, TDC’s revenue increased by 0.3% to DKK 19.6bn, income before depreciation, amortisation and special items (EBITDA) rose to DKK 8.2bn, up by 1.5%, and TDC’s equity free cash flow grew by 11% compared with Q1 – Q3 2010. These developments are described in TDC’s financial statements for the third quarter of 2011 published today.
"In the present climate, it is very satisfactory that we are able to continue the Group's solid development and present a strong performance. We can be proud of our achievements, especially within TV and mobility services and TDC Nordic," says Henrik Poulsen, TDC’s President and CEO.
Within TV, both YouSee and TDC TV grew and were further strengthened by a range of product launches such as "100 films for free", TV apps and TDC Play directly on consumers' TV screens. In Q3, within mobility services, the Group recorded an increase of as much as 54,000 mobile customers, and recently launched 4G commercially. In addition, Onfone's customers were migrated satisfactorily to TDC's network.
"Onfone's customers were migrated successfully, and with much lower related churn than expected. On top of that, Onfone still has a reasonable customer intake," says Henrik Poulsen.
TDC confirms its guidance for 2011.
