Women in Business and Politics - High Profile Seminar chaired by Cherie Blair

On 2 February 2010 the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK will be hosting a seminar on "Women in Business and Politics". The seminar will be the first in a series of "Business Meets Politics" and will focus on the cases of Sweden and the United Kingdom. Today, one of the most often debated issues in business and politics, in Sweden and in the United Kingdom, is the lack of women at senior level of management, in the board rooms and in politics. The case of gender equality continues to make headlines in the world press and the facts below speak for themselves; there is a gap in the distribution of men and women in both politics and business.
