As the English football season comes to an end, football fans around the world turn their attention to the World Cup and an extended summer of football. Here at The Sick Children’s Trust we’re already getting excited with our World Cup Sweepstake Kit!

Our World Cup Sweepstake kit lets you get your friends, family or work colleagues involved in this year’s World Cup. Even if you don’t like football, it’s a really simple way to raise money for The Sick Children’s Trust. There’s 32 countries competing in the World Cup so all you need to do is find 32 people to take part.

Just print off the Sweepstake list attached as a PDF document below, before the World Cup starts on Thursday 12th June 2014, cut out all the team names, fold them in half and place them inside an envelope. Decide how much you want to charge for entry into the Sweepstake -this is important as the charge for entry will determine how much you have available in your prize fund and how much you will donate to The Sick Children’s Trust. Alternatively the prize for the winner could be a day off work and the runner-up prize could be half a day off work or you could source an alternative prize so all the money raised is given to The Sick Children’s Trust - it’s up to you!

Simply ask everyone to pull a team name out of the envelope and their chosen team will be their Sweepstake country for the World Cup!

We’ve also included a sheet for you to record who has drawn each team so once the World Cup Final is played on Sunday 13th July 2014 you’ll know who has won your Sweepstake as soon as the final whistle is blown.

Please find below suggested entry fees and prize funds:
£1 per entry 1st Prize = £10, 2nd Prize = £7 Donation to The SCT = £15

£2 per entry 1st Prize = £20, 2nd Prize = £14 Donation to The SCT = £30

£5 per entry 1st Prize = £60, 2nd Prize = £30 Donation to The SCT = £70

£10 per entry 1st Prize = £120, 2nd Prize = £50 Donation to The SCT = £150

At the end of the World Cup simply award the prizes to your winners and then send your donation to The Sick Children’s Trust: By card - please call 020 7931 8695 to make a payment over the phone or Donate online. By cheque - please send cheques made payable to The Sick Children’s Trust to The Sick Children’s Trust, Willow House, 17-23 Willow Place, London, SW1P 1JH.

All money raised will help The Sick Children’s Trust run ‘Homes from Home’ at major hospitals around the country where families can stay free of charge, for as long as they need, whilst their child is undergoing treatment.
