LinuxIT breaks down silos between development and operations

Launch of DevOps helps organisations maintain availability, security and continuity of live services

LinuxIT today launched DevOps - a unique new service which can help organisations achieve interdependence between system development and IT operations facilitating rapid development of products and services in increasingly dynamic environments. It enables businesses to proactively identify solutions that could improve systems performance and security.

Peter Dawes-Huish, Chairman and CEO, LinuxIT said: "LinuxIT's DevOps is a real game changer which will allow organisations to tear down the silos between development and operations. It promotes better communication between teams by giving organisations access to engineers who possess the skills to work alongside developers and non-developers and understand as system administrators what’s required to work with development teams."

LinuxIT can support, or undertake the role of system administrator acting as a system developer. A programme peer from a shared ownership perspective, embracing many of the practices associated with the software development life cycle.
