Press release -

It’s official - Tomorrow People makes Birmingham proud

The design and marketing consultancy are delighted to have been chosen as winners in the Things That Make Me Proud category of the Invisible City awards.

The competition, which was set up by Creative Republic, called for Birmingham people to nominate what they think is special about their city and to celebrate the talent within Birmingham’s creative industries.

In the end, 117 nominations were made and over 5500 votes cast.

What swung it for Tomorrow People was their exceptional creative vision which has seen them win in highly competitive pitches for prestigious clients like Westfield Shoppingtowns and the Open University.

The team found out about their award at a special Media Circus event at Fazeley Studios, Digbeth.  More than 300 people attended the Victorian circus-themed event which featured circus folk, theatrical performances and live music.

As winners in their category, Tomorrow People saw off competition from some of Birmingham’s most innovative and exciting initiatives.

Tomorrow People are delighted to have their creative talent recognised by their city.

Stephen Walls, the consultancy’s creative director, has been a visiting lecturer in Visual Design at Birmingham City University for two years. He said:

“We’re very excited to win this award. Birmingham is our city. It’s a great place and it’s been an important part of our growth from a start up to a consultancy working with local, national and international clients.”

Tomorrow People’s achievement will be celebrated in Invisible City, a book specially created to showcase all the winning nominations and the four runners up in each of the six categories.
