Finnish edtech innovation featured at the Royal College of Art Summer 2014 show

The edtech solution TRIBA™ by Finland-based company TribaLearning, will be featured at the Royal College of Art Summer 2014 show that opens today in London. TRIBA™ is the world´s first open, personal learning environment and Smart Learning Data solution. The edtech solution is the focus of a case study by Kyungsik Yoon, a Senior Designer from Samsung and a scholar enrolled in the masters course in service design at the Royal College of Art.

Kyungsik Yoon, senior designer at Samsung had the following to say about his work: “Cooperation with TribaLearning has been truly exciting from the start. Their approach to solving challenges associated with online learning are strongly supported by my research findings. The results point to the need to look deeper into the learning process and also extend our collaboration to include, for example, more parents.”

Kyungsik is one of many individuals that Samsung has supported in taking this course. The masters course in service design is believed to be the only one of its kind in Europe.

Samsung's commitment to service design shows the growing importance of this type of work. As brands and organisations begin to understand how important customer engagement and experience is, competence with regard to service design will be vital in creating and managing a compelling end-user result.

Mervi Palander, CEO at TribaLearning states: “Kyungsik’s work has produced valuable findings which we have incorporated into our platform development. He has been applying his service design skills at TRIBA™ to make the customer experience and user engagement as valuable and effective as possible. Kyungsik’s work has already had a significant impact on our goal of becoming the leading global brand in user managed education.”
