Fantastic summer savings up for grabs on London-West Midland services

Virgin Trains is slashing the cost of travel between London and the West Midlands by almost a third. From 3 August, passengers can travel for a lot less between London Euston/Watford Junction/Milton Keynes Central and Coventry/Birmingham International/Birmingham New Street; and between London and Rugby.

The new Super Off-Peak single fare represents a saving of over £25.00 on a normal Off-Peak single fare from London to Coventry. Other Virgin Trains Super Off-Peak single fares include London to Rugby for £12.50 (a saving of over £20.00) and Milton Keynes to Birmingham New Street for £12.50 (a saving of £11.30).

The special Super Off-Peak single fare is available from stations or the Virgin Trains website, in advance or on the day of travel. It is valid on Virgin Trains services only and will not be accepted on any services on the route operated by other train companies. These fares are available until 13 September 2009.

Faster and more frequent services to the West Midlands Virgin Trains runs three trains an hour from London to Birmingham. Journey times have significantly reduced following the introduction of the new timetable in December 2008, with a typical journey time of 1h22 from London to Birmingham.
