Virgin West Coast increases capacity on Manchester route in December timetable

Virgin West Coast is to increase Sunday capacity to meet customer demand on the London to Manchester route in its new timetable which begins on 10 December.

Addtional Sunday services will run between Euston and Manchester, either via the Trent Valley or West Midlands routes depending upon engineering work.

When trains are running via the Trent Valley, additional services will leave London Euston for Manchester Piccadilly at 11:51 and 12:51. In the opposite direction, additional services will leave Manchester for Euston at 12:47 and 13:47.

When trains are running via the West Midlands route, the 17:28, 18:32, 19:38 and 20:28 departures from Euston will be extended from Wolverhampton to Manchester Piccadilly. In the opposite direction, additional services will leave Manchester at 13:10, 17:10 and 19:10 for Euston via Wolverhampton.

On weekdays, the 21:10 Euston to Liverpool Lime Street train will call additionally at Watford Junction, the 21:40 service from Euston to Wolverhampton calls additionally at Rugby and the 16:46 train from Glasgow Central to Euston calls additionally at Stafford.
