Foillseachadh Ro-innleachd Turasachd na Gàidhlig

Chaidh ro-innleachd thurasachd ùr a chur air bhog an-diugh gus Gàidhlig adhartachadh agus cothrom oirre a mheudachadh mar phàirt de na dh'fhiosraicheas luchd-turais ann an Alba.

Is i Rùnaire a' Chaibineit airson Cultair, Turasachd is Chùisean A-muigh, Fiona Hyslop, a chuir Ro-innleachd Turasachd na Gàidhlig do dh'Alba 2018-2023 air bhog gu h-oifigeil aig The Scotch Whisky Experience an Dùn Èideann còmhla ri Cathraiche VisitScotland, am Morair Theòrsa, agus Ceannard Bòrd na Gàidhlig, Seòna NicIllinnein.

Tha am plana a' brosnachadh togail aire agus cleachdadh na Gàidhlig am broinn gnìomhachas na turasachd le bhith a' meudachadh conaltradh ri gnothachasan agus luchd-turais.

"Tha mi toilichte a' chiad Ro-innleachd Turasachd Gàidhlig aig Alba a chur air bhog airson 2018-2023. Tha Gàidhlig freumhaichte ann an cultar is dualchas na h-Alba, an cois ar ceòl, ar n-ainmean-àite, ar bàrdachd, agus barrachd. Tha Riaghaltas na h-Alba an geall air Gàidhlig a dhèanamh tèarainte don àm ri teachd agus tha an ro-innleachd seo a' leigeil cudrom air a' chomas aig Gàidhlig a bhith a' cur ris an fhìor-bhlas a bhios sinn a' toirt don luchd-turais againn.

"Is e turasachd aon de ar prìomh roinnean fàis, agus le bhith a' meudachadh ìomhaigh na Gàidhlig anns a' ghnìomhachas seo, tha sinn a' toirt fìor-bhlas air Alba, agus cuideachd a' toirt buannachd don eaconamaidh, oir tha a' Ghàidhlig a' tarraing fiù ´s barrachd luchd-turais don dùthaich. Tha an ro-innleachd seo ag amas air a' chomas sin a ghleidheadh 's a chur gu feum."

Tha i a' toirt cothrom do luchd-turais barrachd rannsachaidh a dhèanamh mu sgeul Alba o shean agus an ama a tha an làthair.

"Tha e deatamach gun tèid aig Alba air blas air leth agus as fhiach cuimhneachadh a thoirt do luchd-turais gus cumail suas ri iarrtasan sìor-atharrachail an luchd-ceannaich. Tha comas aig Gàidhlig, nach deach cleachdadh mòran fhathast, a bhith na prìomh-chungaidh ann an tàth-chuid turasachd is cultar na h-Alba.

2018 Year of Young People

  • The Year of Young People (YoYP 2018) will inspire Scotland through its young people aged 8 to 26, celebrating their achievements, valuing their contributions to communities and creating new opportunities for them to shine locally, nationally and globally
  • Central to YoYP 2018 will be a celebratory events programme that puts young people at the heart of its development and delivery, creating new and valuable experiences for young Scots and the wider public, with links to the inaugural 2018 European Championships.
  • Over 200 young people throughout Scotland are currently being recruited to become YoYP 2018 Ambassadors. Ambassadors will ensure that people and organisations in their communities know about what’s happening and will lead on projects and activities to create events and opportunities to celebrate young people.
  • The Year of Young People will have six themes which were developed in co-production with young people themselves:
  • Participation – looking at how young people can influence public services and decisions which affect their lives
  • Education – creating a stronger role for young people in shaping their learning
  • Health and Wellbeing – supporting young people to lead healthier, active lives and have opportunities to learn about and improve their mental health and resilience
  • Equality and Discrimination – broadcasting the value of young Scots, challenging negative perceptions of young people, and supporting young people to take leading roles in challenging discrimination in all its forms.
  • Enterprise and regeneration – celebrating young people’s role in innovation, entrepreneurship and the Scottish economy as well as making Scotland a greener and more pleasant place to live
  • Culture – celebrating young people’s talent and contribution to Scottish culture and arts.
