Press release -

USA connectivity in full flight

With the new direct link between Philadelphia and Edinburgh launching this weekend, Mike Cantlay, Chairman of VisitScotland said:

“This is a truly exciting development by US Airways to extend its network from the USA to Scotland with the new additional and dedicated route from Philadelphia to Edinburgh.

The fact US Airways have started this new route is a further vote of confidence in Scotland as a first-rate tourism destination. In the year that Scotland welcomes the world, with over 800 Homecoming Scotland events, the Commonwealth Games and the Ryder Cup, this is our chance to showcase everything that is great about our country.

Direct air connectivity is key if we are to play a part on the world stage of tourism, and this new route could not come at a more opportune time.”
