Comedy Rocks Alderney - Week One

On the Island of Alderney The Georgian House are delighted to host COMEDY ROCKS for a second year! 2016 gave the tiny Channel Island of Alderney the first ever comedy event of this kind and 2017 will be even bigger and better! Get ready for a side-splitting 3-week festival featuring 6 of the UK’s best stand-up comedians live on Alderney! Comedy Rocks 2017 kicks off on the 18th & 19th July with Marcus Brigstocke. If you didn’t see him at last year’s sell out gigs, you’ll not want to miss this! Marcus is a regular on TV and radio shows such as The Now Show, Live at the Apollo, Have I got News for You and I’ve Never Seen Star Wars and was in both Love Actually & Red Nose Day Actually. His stand-up comedy weaves hard-hitting topical issues of the day with razor-sharp adlib, crowd interaction and a disarming amount of whimsy. He will be joined by the brilliant Zoe Lyons – a regular with BBC’s Mock The Week, The Comedy Store and the Edinburgh Fringe – featuring material from her brand new stand-up show “Little Misfit”.
