​A Hollywood actor will launch a new cinema experience in North Wales.

Two Wales Co-operative Centre clients are working together to bring a new cinema experience to Old Colwyn.

Charity TAPE, has teamed up with social enterprise, Crest Co-operative, to launch a Sofa Cinema. The Sofa Cinema experience will open on Saturday 31st January from 7pm in Old Colwyn, with a special screening of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' hosted by Hollywood actor,Spencer Wilding who appears in the movie.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Spencer and a chance to find out more about other screenings taking place at the TAPE Community Arts Centre on Berthes Road in the coastal town of Old Colwyn, North Wales.

North Wales social enterprise Crest Co-operative (www.crestcooperative.co.uk) will be providing reclaimed furniture, sofas and lamps for TAPE Community Music and Film's new cinema. The aim is to create a relaxed environment for cinema goers. The co-operative will be selling the furniture during the screening, to help them fund their community reuse enterprises.

The Sofa Cinema is home to the collection of film clubs hosted at TAPE, creating a unique, relaxed cinema experience in an inclusive space - all for free! Available clubs include the Community Film Club, Baby Cinema, Silent Movie screenings with a live organist, kids film club and much more.
