Press release -

Ask us about your online safety

The Communities 2.0 team will be hosting an internet safety surgery on Twitter tomorrow – Safer Internet Day (Tuesday 10th February) from 12:00. The Q and A session aims to increase awareness of online security and will give members of the public the chance to have their internet safety questions answered – including social media, cloud computing and protecting your identity online via @communities2_0.

Adam Telford Williams is a Communities 2.0 Circuit Rider (a non-geeky ICT advisor for community organisations and small businesses). He works with organisations to help them decide what information technology would help them run more effectively. He is an expert on software, hardware and security issues as well as compliance with European legislation. He also blogs on ICT and technology on Linkedin Pulse.

Adam said,

“Safety on the internet is essential. It is really important that individuals are made aware of what they can do to safeguard and protect themselves when using the web. I will be on Twitter tomorrow to answer questions on internet safety and hopefully help people to avoid some of the common mistakes made online”

Questions can be addressed to Adam and the team by tweeting @communities2_0 from 12:00 to 13:00.

Communities 2.0 is a Welsh Government programme that is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
