Congratulations Kontigo Care! Uppsala company wins eHealth Award 2018

We at Uppsala BIO congratulate Kontigo Care, this week recognised with the eHealth Award 2018!

The Uppsala-based company has developed Previct, a digital e-health platform that uses advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) to enable patient diagnosis, care and aftercare.

For patients, this means a great deal of freedom. Thanks to Kontigo’s Previct solution, they can now perform many care activities and better motivate themselves for positive long-term behavioural changes in their own homes.

Improves treatment quality
The eHealth Award is based on the government’s and SKL’s (the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions) vision that Sweden will be a world leader in e-health 2025.

The jury’s motivation reads: “Their digital solution brings benefits to patients, relatives, caregivers and organisations, as well as to society at large. It addresses a widespread problem, leading to improved treatment quality for a large patient group. The winning solution also contributes to achieving the national goals of more committed patients and equal care.”

“Very proud winner”
“The eHealth Award is a prestigious title and we are thus very proud,” says Henrik Nordlindh, CEO of Kontigo Care. “Although it is nice to be recognised as one of Sweden’s hottest e-health companies, the biggest significance of the award is that it focuses on our mission to change Swedish and international addiction care.”

Kontigo Care has participated in Uppsala Innovation Centre’s (UIC) business incubator program and has worked with Innovation Akademiska for clinical evaluation and usability tests.

The company has previously been awarded several prizes, including the Swedish Embedded Award and the Bona Postulata business prize, which is awarded to Uppland-based companies with high growth potential.
