DEWALT® Expands Line of Saw Blades & Oscillating Accessories

TOWSON, MD (May 26, 2016) – Just in time for peak construction season, DEWALT introduces 14 new products in the circular saw blade and oscillating accessories categories.

"Last year, our accessories team spent 2,000+ hours on construction sites in 15 cities across the U.S. talking to end users about their jobs." said DEWALT Director of Marketing, Scott Muhlbaier. "These new products are the result, bringing application solutions to our users with the quality they expect from DEWALT. We’re really proud of these products and challenge users to put tough to the test.”

DEWALT 2X Long Life 7-1/4” Saw Blade

The DEWALT 2X Long Life 7-1/4” Saw Blade provides the user with long life, durability, and smooth cuts. The blade’s innovative design makes it the most premium 7-1/4” blade in DEWALT’s line of saw blades. Aggressive, anti-kickback shoulders reinforce the carbide tips making this blade ideal for wood with nails. The patented body slot design and laser-cut plate allow for fast, effortless cuts, while the premium carbide and face-ground teeth allow for ultra-sharp teeth and long life.

DEWALT 7-1/4”Composite Decking Saw Blade

DEWALT’s 7-1/4” Composite Decking Saw Blade is designed for melt-free cuts in composite decking and cellular PVC. The 40 tooth blade features Modified Triple Chip Grind (MTCG) teeth that help keep the cutting material cool. The patented body slot design and laser-cut plate allow for fast, effortless cuts, while the premium carbide and face-ground teeth allow for ultra-sharp teeth and long life.

DEWALT 7-1/4”Fiber Cement Saw Blade

The new DEWALT 7-1/4” Fiber Cement Saw Blade is designed to offer outstanding longevity. The blade’s four tooth design helps break the cutting material into larger pieces in order to minimize the fine dust created by blades with higher tooth counts. This blade has 100X longer life in fiber cement (on average vs. competitive carbide tooth blades) due to its EDM (Electro Discharge Machining) ground, PCD (synthetic polycrystalline diamond) teeth. Additionally, this blade provides long blade life when cutting laminate flooring. The DEWALT 7-1/4” Fiber Cement Blade rounds out DEWALT’s offering of PCD tooth blades which now includes 7-1/4”, 10” and 12” blades that are designed to cut both fiber cement and laminate flooring.

DEWALT Oscillating Accessories

All of the DEWALT Oscillating Accessories have a universal fitment that works in most competitive oscillating tools or OMT’s. This universal feature continues with an expanded range of 11 new accessories. The new range expands upon DEWALT’s existing range by improving one or a combination of three benefits: life, speed of application, and durability. DEWALT’s expanded line includes the following:

  • Carbide Oscillating Blades for long life in tough applications
  • Precision Oscillating Blades for fast cuts and long life in hard woods
  • Synthetic Diamond Grit Blades for long life and fast grout removal and surface prep
  • Titanium and Bi-Metal Blades for wood with nails
