DEWALT® LANYARD READY™ Solutions for Select Corded & Cordless Tools

TOWSON, MD (May 8, 2018) – DEWALT® announces LANYARD READY™ solutions for corded and cordless tools. DEWALT LANYARD READY™ integrated solutions offer options to tether select corded and cordless tools to rigid structures on jobsites when working at height with a maximum lanyard length of 2m, helping to secure the tool in case it is dropped.

LANYARD READY™ solutions are currently available in two ways; pre-installed or by a DEWALT Service Center where attachment points can be installed on select cordless DEWALT drills and impact drivers. The 20V MAX* Brushless Hammer Drill/Impact Driver Combo Kit with LANYARD READY™ Attachment Points (DCK299P2LR) is an example of the pre-installed option in which the attachment points are already installed on tools at the time of purchase. Other pre-installed options include select DEWALT corded grinders.

Kitted LANYARD READY™ cordless tools such as the 20V MAX* Brushless Hammer Drill/Impact Driver Combo Kit include an integrated lanyard attachment point on each tool, and each battery contains a securing strap and a multi-stage carabineer that connect the battery to the tool. The included multi-stage carabineer offers a secure hold, yet can be un-hooked from its attachment point to allow for the battery to be charged. LANYARD READY™ attachment points are features highlighted as part of the DEWALT PERFORM & PROTECT™ line of products designed to provide a high level of one or more of the following: control, dust containment or low vibration, without sacrificing performance.

While the range of corded and cordless tools approved for LANYARD READY™ use is growing, the 20V MAX* Brushless Hammer Drill/Impact Driver Combo Kit(DCK299P2LR) is available this month for $429 MSRP, where DEWALT products are sold. It comes standard with a three-year limited warranty, one-year free service contract and 90-day money-back guarantee.
