Hispanic Chamber Invites International Business Owners to Austin
GAHCC Economic Development Program Encourages Relocation to Capital

Austin, Texas (September 13, 2012) – International entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to learn why Austin is the ideal city to move their business at a two day seminar hosted by The Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GAHCC). Known as Capital de Las Oportunidades, the seminar presents Austin as a city where they can launch businesses and investments. In partnership with the City of Austin and the Governor’s Office, the seminar will take place September 20-21 at the Radisson Hotel Town Lake located at 111 Cesar Chavez St.

The sessions consist of information on how relocation to the U.S. can be achieved, along with benefits of partnering with the Chamber, and what Austin has to offer as a place to live. Practitioners in immigration, taxes, and business are recruited to lead the presentations, which are conducted entirely in Spanish.

“With this project, we achieve an objective of the Chamber to act as a gateway between the United States and international businesses,” said Andy Martinez, president/CEO, GAHCC. “The Chamber supports local small businesses, and we also want to invite our international business counterparts to Austin to participate in this expanding business environment.”

The agenda for Capital de las Oportunidades, or Capital of Opportunities, will include presenters from professions such as banking, legal, finance, and real estate, as well as from The Office of the Governor, City of Austin, and The USA-Mexico Consulate.
