Manhattan Associates Showcases Mobile Innovations at Momentum 2014

HOLLYWOOD, FL - May 6, 2014 - Today at its annual customer conference, Momentum, Supply Chain Commerce Solutions providerManhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH) highlighted three mobile innovations that will help companies better support the needs of the anytime, anywhere omni-channel customer and improve worker productivity.

“Manhattan Associates is committed to deliver new mobile capabilities that extend the value of our solutions and help our customers profitably do business in today’s changing landscape,” said David Landau, vice president of product management, Manhattan Associates. “These three new applications will help our customers address fulfillment needs in stores, in warehouses and across the supply chain.”

Among the new mobile technologies showcased is a tablet-based application released as part of Manhattan’s 2014 Labor Management(LM) software. The new application provides supervisors fresh tools to coach and manage employees, from anywhere in the facility. It also delivers a mobile experience to new and existing functionality within LM, including:

  • Dynamic Employee Management: an interactive employee scorecard displaying current and historical metrics around performance, utilization, quality, throughput, absences, observations, tardiness and processing errors.
  • Employee Interactions: perform on-the-spot employee observations and document interactions and coaching, directly on the supervisor’s mobile device.
  • Standards Validation: capture, validate and analyze labor activity standards in real-time through any mobile device.

Leveraging mobile technologies in the logistics field to drive productivity gains and empower mobile workers is particularly important as The United States Department of Labor estimates the number of logistics jobs to grow by 22 percent in the next seven years—much faster than the average for all occupations.

Manhattan Associates also showcased the mobile capabilities of its Store Inventory & Fulfillment product suite, which is now available on iOS devices. This will enable store operations to efficiently manage the flood of new, omni-channel activities, such as order picking and fulfillment across channels, while still delivering great brand experiences for in-store customers.

Additionally, Manhattan Associates highlighted a new mobile Proof of Delivery application, which is integrated within its Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS). This new application provides a seamless way to capture consignee signatures and other delivery details. This automates a manual, paper-based process and helps to improve customer service and delivery accuracy.

All three mobile applications were developed using Manhattan’s TouchTop Mobile Framework and application development infrastructure. A native component of its Supply Chain Process Platform, TouchTop is Manhattan Associates’ next-generation user interface, specifically built to enable the availability of applications on most mobile operating systems.
