New Long Term TV Agreement for Official Nobel Prize Programming

Nobel Media AB, the company responsible for managing and developing media rights in connection with the Nobel Prize, and Sveriges Television, Sweden’s primary public service channel, have recently signed a five year agreement (2011-2015) securing the broadcast rights for the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony and the Nobel Banquet. Sveriges Television (SVT) has a long tradition of broadcasting the award ceremonies and the activities connected to Nobel Week in December every year.

The agreement includes broadcast rights for the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony in Stockholm, the Nobel Banquet and the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony in Oslo, Norway. SVT will also provide services for international TV and media companies that are on site in Stockholm to cover Nobel Week in December.
