7 % increase in Stockholm: 1,4 million overnight stays in July

In July nearly 1.4 million overnight stays were made in Stockholm. It is an 7 % increase compared to the same month last year. The first seven months surpass last year's result. More than 6.9 million overnight stays were made in the county, an increase of 8%. 

The increase in Juli came mostly from international guests. There were substantial increases from most major markets in Europe and the rest of the world by respectively 11 and 20 percent. Germany (+2%), Great Britain (+19%), USA +10%), Italy (+21%) and Spain (+38 %).

Stockholm is the engine in Sweden’s tourism and one of Europe's top ten destinations. During the past ten years the number of bed nights has doubled. In 2013, Stockholm had nearly 11 million bed nights.
