Strong increase in international visits in Stockholm
During the month of February almost 820 000 guest nights were recorded in the county of Stockholm, which is an increase of 12 %. The foreign overnight stays increased by 19 percent during the same period.
- It is rewarding that the first two months show a continued good development for Stockholm. In addition it is positive that the growth rate of international guest nights remaines high, indicating that Stockholm stands strong in the international competition, says ms Karin Wanngård, Mayor of Stockholm.
Most international guests come from the UK, Norway, Germany and the United States. The largest increase in percentage came from outside Europe, an increase by a total of 28 percent.
