Yoogaia launches new #AnyAgeYoga Live online yoga classes on 1st March 2016

  • #AnyAgeYoga is a special online yoga class aimed at people of any age who want to be flexible, strong and toned from the comfort of their own armchair
  • #AnyAgeYoga combines traditional yoga moves with variations to enable more fragile frames to complete traditional moves that have until now proved hard to emulate
  • #AnyAgeYoga – making the world a more flexible place!
  • Yoogaia.com, the world’s first truly interactive Yoga studio, has launched a new #AnyAgeYoga class range for people of any age, led by veteran London yoga teacher Hilda Silver, who has 40 years of yoga experience to share.

Hilda’s online class contains a variety of moves designed for those who may not have tried yoga before, and those who, despite being of retirement age or older, would like to remain as flexible as possible to enhance their quality of life.

Hilda who is 63 and a long-term yoga practitioner and teacher in London, believes that although technology has caused many health implications due to long hours spent hunched at desks in front of screens, this digital development of online classes is extremely positive in the fight against the ageing process.

She says ‘As we get older, our bodies become less flexible and movement is limited. Gentle yoga exercises slow down the ageing process whilst creating a more positive and peaceful mindset. Everyone, no matter what stage of life they are at, can benefit from this.’

Yoogaia’s founder Mikko Petäjä is a firm believer in the universal appeal of virtual yoga. ‘Both my 70 year old mother and 5 year old son are fans of online yoga, and for once technology can be used to bring generations together rather than separate them. Yoogaia is proud to introduce this class to our timetable and to open up the world of yoga to another generation.’

Hilda teaches a range of classes in London and will be launching #AnyAgeYoga on Yoogaia on 1st March at 6.30pm GMT

    About Yoogaia.com

Yoogaia.com is changing the face of yoga and online exercise with a host of new live classes, reflecting the trends of exercise in 2016 (source: American College of Sports Medicine).

The main trends are: Smartphone exercise apps, yoga and exercise for older people as well as HiiT classes, which squeeze intense workouts into short timescales, perfect for today’s busy life styles.

Yoogaia is reflecting all of these trends by launching two further applications, on Apple TV and Android for Google Play to accompany their hugely popular iOS App which launched in September 2015.

New classes on the Yoogaia program include yoga for older people called AnyAgeYoga, creating an entry point to yoga for people who may have found other yoga classes too intense.

As well as live, real time classes, Yoogaia has a huge selection of pre-recorded classes covering a whole range of Yoga, Pilates and other workouts and meaning you can now train whenever and wherever via your tablet/laptop/mobile phone.
