Swedish blackened metal band Nekrokraft releases newold single "Return of the Kvlt"

Nekrokraft releases a new single today. "Return of the Kvlt" was originally recorded in 2012 and was featured on the Swedish melodic blackened metal- band's EP "Witches Funeral".  The Song has now been re-recorded alongside the crushingly heavy "Witches Funeral" (Single), released in June this year together with a lyric video. Both of these singles will be released on a 7" later this year by The Sign Records.

What kind of darkness blends the best? Does it emerge from rituals beyond the great plains or from tales of the old and mystic way? Maybe the deep abyss in oneself's violently miserable endurance? The controversy surrounding this profound concept becomes evident by aeons upon aeons of clashes between the righteous and the curious, dwelling in the shadows just beneath the surface. Nekrokraft thrive on delivering this kind of emotions through their swedish melodic blackened metal, forged by an ungodly quintet dawned in Linköping 2012.

The band has an underground foundation that meets with the modern take on extreme metal, a unique modern vintage sound crafted with riffs, atmosphere, and melodies. As one reads the lyrics it would become apparent that it generally tends to revolve around occultism, folklore and borrows inspiration from timeworn mythologies dire to stay remembered. The concept behind the name “ Nekrokraft ” is a blend between the Swedish words “ death/dying ” and “ power ” merged together and they do not dread to show their guidance by the bereft of life's mellow whispers.

In 2016 Nekrokraft was signed to The Sign Records rooster and released their first mini-album “ Will o’ Wisp ” later the same year. The troupes first full-length album “ Servants ” as well as a remaster of the early days “ Witches Funeral ” compilation was issued in the fresh days of spring 2018. With appearances on major festivals such as Sweden Rock Festival and Gefle Metal Festival, at a broad array of venues and two Europe tours so far, the thirst for turmoil remains unquenchable.

The performance manifests through potent vocals and charismatic stage presence blended with unrelentless aggression and powerful melodies, acting like a punch to the face and a headbanging feast. Vocalist Angst Norder has since the “ Will O’ Wisp ”-album been recruited by Swedish blackened thrash metal legends Witchery.

Something old was evoked in the late nights of December 2019, brewed in the endeavoring aspiration to luster a decrepit past. Nekrokraft re-recorded two pieces of music from the “ Witches Funeral ” EP in the wake of tying the ropes on their second full-length album set to be taped in 2020. Combined with a revamped lineup the forthcoming era seems prosperous for the blackened concoction that is Nekrokraft set to deliver a twisted imprint on your petty soul.

"Return of the Kvlt" and "Witches Funeral" are out today as digital singles. Later this year, the 2 songs will be released together on a 7" vinyl by The Sign Records. Release date of the 7" TBA.
