Altia and Unimedic have established long-term production agreement to produce Swedish Aquavits and spiced spirits in Sweden

Altia Plc and Unimedic AB have agreed to start a cooperation regarding the production of Swedish Aquavits and spiced spirits. Altia and Unimedic will invest into production equipment and new factory building. The production process includes distillation, extraction and maturation of Swedish Aquavits and spiced spirits. The factory is located in Matfors, Sundsvall

The agreement covers all Altia’s Swedish Aquavits and spiced spirits (kryddat brännvin) O.P. Anderson, Skåne Akvavit, Hallands Fläder, Bäska Droppar, Gammal Norrlands Akvavit, Östgöta Sädesbrännvin, Läckö Slottsaquavit, Herrgårds Aquavit, Rånäs Brännvin, Nyköpingsbrännvin, Svartvinbärsbrännvin and Örtagårdsbrännvin.

Altia relocates the production of the Swedish Aquavits and spiced spirits and secures the continuation of the Swedish origin. In Unimedic Altia has found a new credible and qualified Swedish partner. The construction of the new distillery in Matfors, Sundsvall has started and it is planned to be ready for production early 2017. The plant will be certified for organic production.
