1. FTTH solutions for the home

Digitus offers a coordinated portfolio for fiber optic connections in private homes (network level 5), providing installers and end customers with a reliable, clean, and particularly easy-to-install FTTH infrastructure. The blow-in, pre-assembled drop cable (DK-3901LCA-30)provides the basis for fast and stable connections directly into the home. Thanks to individual single-mode fiber and factory-mounted LC/APC connectors, the usual splicing effort is completely eliminated, which significantly speeds up installation and reduces sources of error.

In addition, two FTTH connection housings (DN-931096 and DN-931097) are available, each equipped with two LC/APC DX couplings and covering different requirements for safety and convenience: While DN-931096 offers a compact, classic solution for wall mounting, DN-931097 has integrated shutters that protect the sensitive connectors from dust and dirt – a clear advantage in living spaces where connections are openly accessible.

The new, solid-colored LC/APC pigtails (DK-29332-02/APC) are used for precise continuation or distribution of the fiber optic cable. They enable clear splicing work in FTTH boxes or distribution points and ensure clear fiber assignment thanks to their color coding.

2. Reliable fiber optic infrastructures for building technology

Digitus also offers a comprehensive and versatile range of fiber optic solutions for professional applications in buildings and outdoor areas (network level 4). The portfolio includes universal indoor/outdoor cables in single-mode (OS2) and multimode variants (OM3 and OM4) and covers fiber counts from 4 to 48 fibers. The cables are designed for a variety of applications – from horizontal floor cabling and vertical back bone lines to demanding outdoor installations. Robust cable constructions in accordance with the A/I-DQ(ZN)BH standard, halogen-free LSZH sheathing materials, and BauPVO-classified designs ensure high mechanical resilience, fire safety compliance, and long-term operational reliability. Supplemented by various length options, such as pre-assembled 100-meter versions, the installation cable range enables flexible planning and reliable implementation of modern fiber optic infrastructures in new buildings as well as in existing building renovations.

For the continuation or distribution of fibers within buildings or outdoors, Digitus also offers the pre-assembled FTTx installation kit (DN-948050-1), which provides an efficient and clean solution for installers with four LC/APC connectors and a length of 50 meters. If fiber optic cables need to be distributed or protected outdoors, the weatherproof FTTH distribution box (DN-968913) is used. Equipped with six SC-DX ports, it offers sufficient space for connections and serves as a protected interface between the supply line and end points.

For longer distances or to connect different parts of a building, the pre-assembled OM4 breakout cable (DK-24338U050BK-BBB) is available. With eight fibers and LC/UPC connectors on both sides, it is ideal for structured cabling routes in commercial buildings or technical areas where high transmission capacities are required.

3. High-density cabling for professional environments

For demanding data center environments (network level 3) where high packing density, short installation times, and maximum performance are required, Digitus also offers two key new components: the fiber optic splice box (DN-96330/9) and the MPO cassette (DN-96332-2-4).

The 1U splice box (DN-96330/9) is factory-fitted with six LC-DX couplings and provides a robust basis for professional fiber optic cabling in the rack. It enables clean and secure splicing and serves as a structured distribution element between installation cables and active network components. Such a stable infrastructure is indispensable, especially in the context of growing bandwidth requirements and intensive migrations within the data center.

In addition, the MPO cassette (DN-96332-2-4) supports modern high-density concepts. As a multimode OM4 module, it enables the efficient implementation of high-density backbone or switch-to-switch connections. The cassette is designed for use in modular patch panels with three cassette fields and is ideal for environments that require fast scalability, low latency, and high transmission capacities.
