The new slim patch cables from Digitus impress with their slim design

Digitus, the brand of Lüdenscheid-based Assmann Electronic GmbH for innovative, certified data network and media technology, is further expanding its range of copper connections: The new slim patch cables are particularly suitable for data centers, home offices, or other locations with limited space.

Various lengths, colors, and applications – Digitus already offers a diverse range of copper connection solutions. With the new CAT 6A F-FTP AWG32/7 Slim patch cables, the portfolio is now being expanded to include a solution that can be easily installed even in confined spaces – for example, between a computer and a switch or router, or in high-density cabinets. The cables feature a smaller outer diameter of 3.8 mm (5.7 mm for standard patch cables) and a flexible jacket, and their slim design allows for versatile use in networks. The CAT 6A F-FTP patch cables achieve a transmission speed of 10 Gbit/s and a frequency of 500 MHz. In addition, thanks to PoE+ functionality, they can simultaneously supply devices with power.

Digitus Slim Patch Cables are also manufactured in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 CAT 6A standards and meet industry-leading standards. The LSZH outer jackets are flame-retardant (IEC 60332-1), have low smoke emission (IEC 61034), and thus ensure better visibility and lower toxicity in the event of a fire. The cables are shielded with a foil, and the individual wire pairs are also wrapped in foil (F-FTP).

Each cable is also equipped with a molded anti-kink sleeve with strain relief. This ensures that the cable does not kink or even break off. In addition, the sleeve has a locking lever protection that prevents the cable from kinking and the locking lever from breaking off the plug. The cables are available in six different colors (gray, blue, green, red, yellow, and black) and in various lengths (0.3 m, 0.5 m, 1.0 m, 1.5 m, 2 m, 3 m, 5 m, 7 m, and 10 m).
