Auctionet Academy Launches in the UK: Your New Hub for Learning About Art, Design and Antiques

Auctionet Academy – Your New Hub for Learning About Art, Design and Antiques.

Auctionet, the leading digital platform for auction houses across Europe, proudly announces the UK launch of Auctionet Academy – a new initiative designed to inspire learning and connection around decorative arts and collectables.

Following Auctionet's recent expansion in the UK and new partnerships with auction houses nationwide, Academy launches its first British programme. Building on its success in Scandinavia, it will offer a curated series of talks, courses, and events that bring together collectors, professionals and enthusiasts through shared knowledge and cultural exchange.

From intimate lectures on modern British design to hands-on sessions in valuation and collecting, Auctionet Academy collaborates with leading experts, museums, and institutions to deliver an inclusive, engaging calendar.

Among the highlights, expert and former Cash in the Attic presenter Kayleigh Davies introduces her first digital course, Shaping Britishness.

“I’m really excited to launch this first series with Auctionet Academy – a deep dive into British design and art history that makes learning fun, engaging and accessible,” says Kayleigh. “We’ll explore how identity has been shaped by objects, uncover the unsung stories behind everyday items, and connect with the past in unexpected ways.”

The UK programme kicks off in late June with a series of exclusive events, including:

  • Auction Stories and Appraisals: A Summer Afternoon in Norwich. An exclusive afternoon with auctioneer Oliver Miller, featuring live appraisals and expert commentary.
  • You're Invited: is a curated series of guided visits to three remarkable homes of British creativity: the surrealist retreat of Lee Miller and Roland Penrose, the sculptural haven of Barbara Hepworth in St Ives, and the Arts & Crafts gem of Emery Walker’s House in London. Each visit offers a unique window into the lives and spaces that shaped modern British art and design.
  • Shaping Britishness: An online lecture series exploring the cultural impact of British design through history.
  • Themed talks and community meet-ups in collaboration with local institutions across the UK.

With over 70 auction houses already on the platform, Auctionet Academy is part of a broader mission to combine digital innovation with access, education, and appreciation for the objects that tell our stories.
