Ed Sheeran’s Childhood Drum Kit Offered at Auction
Auctionet are delighted to announce the sale of Ed Sheeran’s own childhood drum kit, offered through Bishop & Miller Auctioneers. The bright orange and green drum kit was a gift from his mother in his youth, and was custom painted by the singer as a teenager. It’s been personally signed, with a handwritten inscription reading “This was my old drum kit love Ed xxxx.” The set includes a kick drum, two toms, a floor tom, snare, hi-hat, Sabian AAX 20" Stage Ride cymbal, Sabian Pro 16" Crash and stool, all showing plenty of use from Ed’s early years in music.
This drum kit first appeared in the EACH ‘Nook Appeal Ultimate Charity Auction’ in 2016, when Ed donated it to raise funds for the charity. Now, nearly a decade later, fans have another rare opportunity to bid on this piece of music history.
Kayleigh Davies, specialist at Auctionet says:
“We’re so thrilled to host the sale of this item with Bishop & Miller. Based in Suffolk, they’re Ed’s local auction house and together we’ve previously sold his guitars and other personal items in support of local charities. At this rate, you’ll be able to build a whole band with his instruments!”
The online auction finishes on 19th September, so get your bids in quickly for an incredible item with unparalleled provenance. You´ll find the drums here.
